Day 1 Arrival at Leh
On arrival at Leh airport, you will be transferred to the hotel and check in. Around Rs 800 to 1000 per person for leh permit.
Day 2 departure to Alchi Monestry
Drive another few km to witness the magic of Magnetic Hill, Gurudwara Patthar Sahib, and Sangam. At Sangam river rafting and at your own cost, visit Shanti Stupa. Proceed back to Hotel.
Day 3 After breakfast departure to After breakfast departure to Nubra Valley Via Khardungla Pass
This morning, we embark on a drive to Nubra Valley, crossing the highest motorable pass globally, Khardungla Pass, standing at an impressive height of 18,380 meters. The journey along winding roads is thrilling. En route, we visit Deskit, the quaint capital of Nubra. Here, we explore Deskit Gompa, situated atop a rocky spur, offering panoramic views of the valley.
Continuing our drive to Hunder, we pass through an area of sand dunes where we encounter the famous Bactrian camels. These shaggy, double-humped animals were once used as pack animals on the Central Asian Trade routes and are now popular for camel rides in the high deserts. At Hunder, we have the option to ride the double-humped camels (available on direct payment basis).
In the evening, we drive back to the camp/hotel, concluding our day’s adventures.
Day 4 Nubra To Pangong 165 Kms /05 06 Hrs
After breakfast at the camp/hotel, we drive to our next destination, Pangong Lake, which sits at 14,500 ft above sea level. Taking a scenic route via Shayok and onto Tang Tse and Spangmik, we enjoy the beauty of the journey. The road follows the Shayok river, climbing up a mountain before descending into Shayok village in less than an hour. The sight of this rather large village surrounded by barren mountains is truly picturesque.
In the afternoon, we arrive at Pangong Lake and spend the day enjoying its serene beauty. The Indian Army has erected memorials here to honor soldiers who sacrificed their lives during Indo-Pak wars. Dinner and overnight stay are at the camp.
Day 5 Pangong To Leh 160 Kms – 05 06 Hrs
Get up early morning to witness the sunrise view at the lake. Enjoy your breakfast and drive back to Leh via Changla Pass (Around 150 km / 5 hr) Arrive Leh and check in at the hotel. Evening free for shopping or leisure. Dinner & overnight stay at Hotel.
Day 6 Leh Local Sightseeing
After breakfast, we leisurely drive to Hemis Monastery, the largest and wealthiest in Ladakh, situated 45km west of Leh. Returning along the same route, we visit Thiksey Monastery, perched on a hill-lock with stunning views of the Indus valley. Notably, it boasts a gigantic seated statue of the Maitreya Buddha and its assembly hall, known as Dukhang, houses hundreds of rectangular prayer books bound in silk and stacked between wooden covers. Continuing our journey, we pass through a series of chortens to reach Shey Palace, the former summer residence of the King of Ladakh. We stay overnight at the hotel, ready for more exploration tomorrow.
Day 7 Depart From Leh
After an early breakfast you will be transfer to airport to board the flight towards your further journey.
