Himachal Shimla Manali Tour Package – 12 Day
Day 1 : Arrive Amritsar and Full Day Local Sight Seeing
Upon arrival at Amritsar Railway Station / Airport, you will be met and greeted by our tour representative. They will assist you to your allotted hotel in Amritsar. Later, visit the Golden Temple, Jallianwala Bagh, and the Indo-Pak Wagah Border to watch the Flag Retreat Ceremony. Wagah, an army outpost on the Indo-Pak border 30 km from Amritsar, hosts the daily highlight, the evening “Beating the Retreat” ceremony. Soldiers from both countries march in perfect drill, bringing down their respective national flags. As the sun goes down, nationalistic fervor rises, and lights are switched on, marking the end of the day amidst thunderous applause. The evening is free for leisure or shopping. Day 2 : Arrive Amritsar & Drive to Dalhousie (6hrs.)
Upon arrival at Amritsar Airport / Railway Station, our representative will welcome you and transfer you to Dalhousie by road. Dalhousie – a famous hill station in Himachal Pradesh known for snow-capped mountains. Once you arrive at your destination, we will duly check you in to your Hotel. After freshening up, we will proceed for half day local sightseeing, visiting the British-era churches of St John (1863) and St Francis (1894) set among the pines at opposite ends of the ridge. The market areas at Subhash Chowk and Gandhi Chowk are linked by lanes – Thandi Sarak (Cold Rd) and Garam Sarak (Hot Rd). Stay overnight at the Hotel.
Day 3 : Dalhousie – Khajjiar – Chamba – Dalhousie
Post breakfast, you will go for a day trip to the amazing locations of Khajjiar and Chamba town. Chamba is a small yet attractive tourist destination in Himachal Pradesh known for its exquisite natural beauty. The Sub-Himalayan range of mountains, full of diverse flora and fauna, makes Chamba an exhilarating experience. Additionally, Chamba surprises visitors with its magnificent temples, which reflect the opulence of the Rajput kings from the medieval period. The town is also known for its local festivals, such as the Sui Mata and Minjar festivals.
‘Mini-Switzerland of India,’ Khajjiar, a tiny tourist resort in Chamba, is about 24 km from Dalhousie, at an altitude of 6,500 ft above sea level. Confronting the backdrop of dense pines, deodars, and lush green meadows, Khajjiar nestles impeccably in the foothills of the imposing Dhauladhar ranges of the Western Himalayas. It provides tourists a unique combination of forests, lakes, and pastures. Its natural beauty and picturesque landscape will leave an everlasting impression on you. Moreover, adventure seekers can enjoy various activities like paragliding, horse riding, zorbing, and trekking.

Day 4 : Dalhousie to Dharamsala (05hrs.)
Having breakfast, we will hit the road to Dharamshala. Situated at an average altitude of 1,475 meters above sea level, Dharamshala lies on the scenic stretch of land in Kangra Valley, captivating tourists with its astounding beauty. Often cited as the ‘Little Lhasa of India,’ Dharamshala is popularly known as the holy residence of the exiled Tibetan monk Dalai Lama. With the breathtaking Dhauladhar ranges as a backdrop, Dharamshala is one of the most tranquil destinations in North India, offering a perfect amalgamation of natural beauty and culture.
Surrounded by thick deodar cedar trees and snowcapped peaks, the quaint city presents a perfect image of a picturesque landscape. Thousands of tourists visit to beat the summer blues. Dharamshala offers local sightseeing, including the Stadium, Dal Lake, Bhagsu Waterfall, Bhagsunag Temple, Dalai Lama Temple, Tibetan Monastery and Market, and the War Memorial. Enjoy the evening with your loved ones in the serene beauty of nature, sipping tea and savoring appetizing snacks. Stay overnight.
Day 5 : Dharamsala – Full Day Local
After breakfast, you are free to tour Dharamshala, covering major attractions such as Dal Lake, Church, Bhagsu Nag Temple, and Tibetan Monastery. These places brim with natural beauty. After lunch, we will embark on a sightseeing visit to the famous Tibetan Medical Centre, where they treat using rare Tibetan medicines. St. John Church, one of the oldest churches in this region, is widely acknowledged for its Belgian stained-glass windows, donated by Lady Elgin. Besides these attractions, you can also visit Kangra Art Museum.
Day 6 : Dharamsala to Manali (8hrs.)
After having breakfast, begin driving to Manali, one of the most popular hill stations of India. Upon arrival, complete the check-in formalities at the hotel. You will have the evening at leisure. Manali, a destination frequented by honeymooners and family vacationers all year round, offers a plethora of attractions. Stay overnight.
Day 7 : Manali – Local Sight Seeing & Solang Valley Visit
In the morning, we will proceed to Solang Valley, where we can enjoy adventure activities like zorbing and paragliding. Later, you can also visit the Tibetan Monastery, which serves not only as a place of worship but also as a center of Tibetan culture. Additionally, explore the natural springs and sandstone temples at Vashist Village. We will also visit the Hadimba Devi Temple, dedicated to Hidimba, the wife of Bhim, one of the five Pandava brothers from the Hindu epic Mahabharata, and the Manu Temple, an old temple dedicated to sage Manu.
In the evening, we will visit the Club House or spend free time at Mall Road. Finally, return to the hotel for an overnight stay in Manali.
Day 8 : Manali to Shimla Enroute Manikaran Visit (10hrs.)
Today, after breakfast, we will check out from the hotel and proceed to Shimla by road. En route, we will visit Manikaran, a small town located in the Parvati Valley in the Kullu District of Himachal Pradesh. Manikaran lies on the banks of the River Parvati at a height of 1760 meters above sea level. It is regarded as a pilgrim center for both Hindus and Sikhs. Later, we will continue our journey to Shimla by road.
Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh, was the erstwhile summer capital of the British. This beautiful hill resort is one of the top tourist destinations in India, owing to its mild climate, meandering streets, and snow-clad mountains. Often referred to as the ‘Queen of Hill Stations,’ Shimla is perched at a height of around 2000 meters above sea level. Besides its natural beauty, Shimla attracts hordes of tourists with opportunities to indulge in various adventure activities, such as trekking, mountaineering, and skiing.
Once we reach Shimla, we will complete the check-in formalities at the hotel and take some rest. Following dinner, stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 9 : Shimla – Kufri Excursion with local sight seeing
This morning, after a filling and delicious breakfast, we will visit Kufri. Kufri derives its name from ‘Kufr,’ which means lake. It is popular among trekkers. The salubrious climate and stunning natural beauty make Kufri a perfect summer getaway. Kufri hosts the annual winter sports festival in February. It is also renowned for adventure activities such as skiing and tobogganing (sliding downhill on a sledge). Kufri boasts the oldest skiing slopes in Himachal Pradesh. Furthermore, Kufri is a haven for nature enthusiasts and wildlife lovers, as the Himalayan Nature Park is situated on the town’s outskirts. The park is home to over 180 varieties of fauna.
Thereafter, we will visit the famous Mall Road of Shimla. First, we will visit the Scandal Point and Jhakoo Temple. Since private vehicles do not have access to Jhakoo Temple due to its location, guests can take a shared taxi available on Mall Road to visit the temple. It is advisable to visit the temple before it turns dark. Therefore, guests can first visit the temple and then spend time on Mall Road. After ample shopping on Mall Road, we will return to your hotel for a mouth-watering dinner. Stay overnight in the resort.
Day 10 : Shimla to Delhi (09hrs.)
After breakfast, check out from the hotel, and then we will proceed to Delhi by road via Chandigarh. Delhi is a city where you will be inspired, amazed, fascinated, and impressed at every corner. The India Gate, Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Chandni Chowk, Qutub Minar, Jantar Mantar, Laxmi Narayan Temple, Akshardham Temple, Bahai Temple, and many more are worth seeing in Delhi. The city offers a perfect mix of the old and the new. From the colonial pillars of Connaught Place to the lanes of Chandni Chowk and the malls of South Extension, you will discover a whole range of experiences here. Additionally, Delhi is a paradise for shopping, eating, and sightseeing.
We will reach Delhi late in the evening. After checking in at the hotel, enjoy your overnight stay in Delhi.
Day 11 : Delhi – Local + Akshardham
After morning breakfast, we will proceed for local sightseeing of Delhi. The national capital of India, Delhi, is a historical city dotted with several monuments. Explore the rich history and culture of the city. First, take a tour of Delhi and visit the Laxmi Narayan Temple, Qutub Minar, and Lotus Temple. Later, we will proceed to the Akshardham Temple. Enjoy the Light and Sound Show at Akshardham in the evening. Finally, return to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 12 : Delhi Hotel to Delhi Airport / Railway Station Drop
After breakfast we checkout from hotel and proceed for Delhi by road. On arrival you will be transferred to the airport/railway station to board the flight/Train back to home.
